I've been reading this book here and there lately, trying to absorb some information from a USA Today Bestseller- whatever that means, it's more than what I've accomplished. I'm not completely sure what I can post about the knowledge, but I found out while writing this article you can get it for free- so that's a bonus, right?
Who is Russell Brunson, and why should we listen to anything he has to say?
I don't know much, but I know he's making money. Apparently just out of college he made like a million dollars from his freaking basement. That's pretty impressive. Must be a guy worth listening to, huh?
What Is Dotcom Secrets?
The book is generally how to grow your company online. He doesn't go much into how to decide what your niche is or what products or services to sell- he assumes that's figured out by the time you read his book. Russell focuses on how to market your company online, which is a lot more inclusive than it sounds when summarized.
Section One handles explaining funnels and ladders in the marketing game. There's a chapter on dream customers, too, which is a great way to look at your target market (the people you're ideally marketing to). Section Two walks you through creating the character type you represent for your company. It's actually above board, not a scammy pitch about pretending to be something you're not. I'd say the character section alone is worth reading, since it helps put into perspective your voice and how it's best delivered.
Sections three and four get more in depth with the funnels. Admittedly, I haven't read these sections yet (is that why I've had little to no success?). It's on the list of things to do, though.
Tomorrow I'll go a bit into that character thing. Russell Brunson does a really good job of it, but he's not the only view out there. See you at 9a sharp. ;P
As I begin this anew, I know only one thing: that I know nothing. Learn with me, and together we will figure this out.
